Glassdoor served 32M+ monthly active users across two products: the job-seeker site and Employer Center, where companies managed their presence. I worked on both as Lead Product Designer. I directed the design system, led iOS and web features that still ship today, and owned research, information architecture, and usability for Employer Center.
The consumer web app, mobile web, iOS app, and Employer Center looked like four different products. Separate teams had shipped each surface without a shared pattern library. Responsive behavior and accessibility also varied by team.
My scope: IA, systems architecture, UX, and design system governance. Visual design tokens and brand expression were owned by Glassdoor's visual design team. The interactive screens below are code-rendered recreations of the UX work.
I built the type scale, color tokens, spacing, components, responsive grid, and cross-platform patterns. I also handled adoption through documentation, training, design critique, and regular work with engineering.
The design system remains in use across Glassdoor years after handoff. iOS features I led also still ship in the current app. Employer Center gave the system a real product test, and later teams used the same foundation for features I did not design.

That inconsistency slowed the work. Designers kept revisiting type, color, spacing, and components. Engineers built similar pieces that could not be shared. Product reviews spent time on visual differences instead of the product decision.

Employer Center became the proving ground because paying customers used it and it touched almost every component. I led its research, information architecture, and usability work while using the new system in a real product.
Every employer administrator lands on the dashboard. It anchors navigation, summarizes the company's presence on Glassdoor, and points to the next likely action. The company onboarding flow uses the same forms, grid, and language, so new administrators do not have to learn a second interface.

Administrators managed the public company page, paid job promotion, and employee reviews. Each surface used the same tables, filters, and status indicators. Campaigns and reviews behaved like parts of one product.

Employers used reporting to track job clicks, daily activity, and profile engagement. Each view shared the same time-series charts, comparison tables, and filters. Profile activity connected the numbers to job-seeker behavior: which roles drew interest, which responses changed sentiment, and which surfaces converted.
